Throbbin Heck, I never knew that!

Throb was founded by Heath who then hooked up with Frank, over recent years it has developed into a collective effort with all our friends DJ’s and some of our Throbbers pitching in to help. Technically Throb is run by List of Life Ltd (Heath and Frank’s company) but we make decision collectively and all money generated by the parties are put back into future parties.

If you fancy getting involved, we run regular meetings on Tuesday nights in Brixton drop us a line if your interested.

Throb was started in Liverpool in 1992 by Heath. After initially taking off at Garlands (kick starting the current scene), Throb also went to Manchester and a variety of other venues in Liverpool. During this time Frank was also running around Liverpool DJ’ing and running Wildlife and through this they hooked up.
Both Heath and Frank moved down to London in 1997 and decided to team up again and resurrect Throb. Since then we have done floats at Notting Hill Carnival, had a number of residencies in Norway, taken over lap dancing clubs and thrown more legendary parties than you can shake a glow stick at.
